OBE GROUP has contracted with NANTONG COSCO KHI SHIP ENGEINERING CO., LTD., for two Ultramax bulk carriers (DWT 64,000) planned to be delivered by end of 2024

The two-Newbuilding vessels will be added to the existing modern bulk carriers managed and operated by the Group, with over 420,000 in total tonnage. Marking another significant step forward in the continuous expansion and modernization strategy.

The CEO of OBE GROUP highlighted about the deal “It is the Group’s milestone of ordering 2 newbuilding project; we believe this project will enhance the Group’s position to be prepared for the industry’s future challenges and requirements”.

He added “Certainly, this step is a continuation of the Group’s long-term vision “.

OBE GROUP continues to be committed towards sustainable business practices. Furthermore, the 2 newbuilding vessels comply with the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) measures, that promotes the use of more energy efficient machineries, and the project will be built in accordance with the highest standards of shipbuilding, following all latest environmental and safety measures.
